The PicoCOM2 Single Board Computer incorporates an Atmel CPU with ARM9 core and runs at 240MHz. It
combines superior processing power with Windows CE functionality and all at a
very competitive price. This extremely compact (50 x 40mm) module is ideally
suited for use in hand-held units, such as those destined for industrial
or medical applications.
The product includes a QVGA display interface (STN, CSTN, TFT) and wide
temperature versions (-20°C to +85°C) can be specified.
The PicoCOM2 can be shipped with Windows Embedded 6.0 preinstalled or Linux
Eval Edition (Emlix) and drivers for supported interfaces such as USB (memory
stick, ActiveSync), Ethernet (FTP/HTTP/telnet server), Audio (VoIP/WAV/MP3) and
CAN are available. The user's software can therefore be developed without the
need for any in-depth knowledge of the hardware involved. The creation of a
graphical user interface etc. is easy using VS.NET(C++, C#, Visual Basic) or
Linux.
The PicoCOM2 provides 32MB flash memory and 32MB RAM as well as signals for 3x
serial, 2x USB2.0 (full speed), I2C, SPI, I/O, Audio, CAN, Ethernet and SD/MMC
card. Also, this module can be easily integrated into existing designs as
power-management (power supply/reset) is included onboard.
